Education Background

Shauna Fahley is a figurative ceramic sculptor from Seattle, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington in 2017 and earned her Master of Fine Arts in ceramics from Alfred University in 2021. Over the past decade, Shauna has taught courses and workshops at prestigious institutions like the School of Art and Innovation, DO CLAY, 92NY, and ClaySpace BK. She has also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Washington, Penn State, and Alfred University. Shauna's dedication to nurturing creativity and skill development has earned her widespread respect in the ceramics community.

Shauna believes education empowers humanity to understand, critique, innovate, and better the world. Guided by mentor Doug Jeck's insight that 'Art is the pulse of humanity,' she emphasizes the significance of creativity in society. As an art educator, Shauna's goal is to foster a safe environment for growth, creative exploration, skill development, and giving students the space to try something new without fear of failing.
