Schoolworks Residency

The PSZ Clay Center in Zanesville, Ohio, hosted an art residency in the fall of 2017, featuring a distinguished group of artists: Shauna Fahley, Doug Jeck, Ben Jackel, Kelsey Duncan, Joe Freeman, and Christine Golden. This two-week intensive residency brought together artists at various stages of their careers, specializing in ceramic art, sculpture, and photography.

Throughout the residency, the artists collaborated and created an impressive body of work, including finished ceramic pieces, fired clay sculptures, and sculptural installations. The residency concluded with an exhibition that showcased these creations, thoughtfully integrated throughout the building. Viewers were invited to explore the entire space, discovering the site-specific artworks and experiencing the innovative expressions and techniques of the participating artists.
